In this research, the writer wants to use motion graphic technique. Motion graphic is the result of the development of Graphic design, the elements contained in this Motion Graphic itself include: typography, composition, color, frame style, audio visual elements and also other graphic elements. Motion graphic itself can be interpreted as a work of art created to produce movement, and also combined with sound in its creation to meet a visual need.The application of the motion graphic metamorphosis animation method of butterflies and AR types of butterflies is an application that displays butterflies and their information and animation of butterfly metamorphosis in the form of augmented reality that can be used by Pakuan university members or people who want to study butterflies. In the animation method, the animation uses the motion graphic method where the animation continues to move using a keyframe, while for augmented reality itself uses the marker less method, where the user scans a photo of a butterfly and then the scanned object appears. With this application, users can easily study the metamorphosis of butterflies and types of butterflies using augmented reality technology. By using animation, it is hoped that the user can easily understand and analyze how butterflies metamorphose and observe butterfly types in more detail make use of the Augmented Reality of the butterfly type.
