Abstract
Sundanese Iket or Totopong has a very interesting cultural historical value because in ancient times this Sundanese Iket or Totopong was used by the Sundanese people to protect their heads from evil spirits in the air. In addition, Sundanese Iket or Totopong was used as a caste marker at that time, Sundanese iket is widely used by the community, but many people themselves do not understand the meaning of its philosophy and even its types. Learning the meaning of Sundanese iket philosophy and its types can be obtained directly by interacting with the Sundanese community itself in the West Java area, but direct learning has many obstacles including cost, time, and so on. Indirect learning can be done through books, e-books and videos. However, these learning resources are less interesting. Therefore AR (Augmented Reality) technology is the right solution to overcome this problem. This study aims to create an Augmented Reality application using image target techniques by utilizing camera features on smartphone devices to display Sundanese iket models, polygonal modeling techniques used in making Sundanese iket model characters and dissolve techniques used in editing video tutorials using Sundanese iket. Augmented reality is the incorporation of an object that exists in the virtual world (virtual) into the real world in 2D or 3D form that can be seen and heard in real time. The socialization application for the introduction of Sundanese iket as local wisdom in West Java through augmented reality can be used by students, millennials and the general public. By utilizing the camera features on smartphone devices to detect images and faces, a 3D Sunda ticket will appear. This application will run on the Android 7.0 (Nougat) mobile platform and supports ARCore with an application capacity of 300.3MB.
