Currently global energy demand is growing rapidly and around 80% of demand is met by
fossil fuels. Anaerobic biodegradation is the process of anaerobic decomposition of organic
materials by bacteria such as methanosarcina, Methanococcus and Methano bacterium. A
mixture of water hyacinth and goat manure can be used as organic material to produce biogas.
This research was conducted to determine the optimal concentration of a mixture of goiter
and goat manure for the concentration of methane gas and the volume of methane gas when
making biogas.-
