Pakuan P.O. Box 452, Bogor 3) Pusat Konservasi Tumbuhan Kebun Raya Bogor, LIPI Jl. Ir. H. Juanda 13, Bogor 16003 ABSTRACT Dimocarpus longan var. obtusus is a wild longan from South Kalimantan. This longan has unique characters of its fruits. Besides that, Dimocarpus longan var. obtusus has several advantages, among them is flowering in any season (3-4 times in a year). The aims of the research are to determine the phenology in flowering and fruiting of wild longan species Dimocarpus longan var. obtusus. The research was held in October 2017 to January 2018 by doing observations on the wild longan collections of Bogor Botanical Garden. Dimocarpus longan var. obtusus has an initiation phase time 7 days, flower differentiation phase I time 10 days, flower differentiation phase II time 4 days, flower differentiation phase III time 1 day, flower differentiation phase IV time 1 day, anthesis phase time 1 day, fruit development time 70 days, and seed development time 60 days. Flower drop rate is quite high and the most influential environment factors are light intensity and wind speed. Keywords: Dimocarpus longan var. obtusus, Flowering, Fruiting, Phenology.
