ABSTRAK
Flavonoid compounds work as antibacterial and skin depigmentation agents in the 70 % ethanol extract of fragrant pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.). In order to increase the ability to penetrate the stratum corneum in burns, a 70 % ethanolic extract of fragrant pandan leaves was prepared as transfersomes. Flavonoid compounds work as antibacterial and skin depigmentation agents in the 70% ethanol extract of fragrant pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.). In order to increase the ability to penetrate the stratum corneum in burns, a 70% ethanolic extract of fragrant pandan leaves was prepared as transfersomes. The aim of this study is to assess the antibacterial efficacy of fragrant pandan leaf extract transfersome gel formulations against pathogenic bacteria that cause burn infections using the best and most stable transfersome formula. Formula 3 transfersome tween 80 produced the best results, with a surfactant-phospholipid ratio of 20:80 in 1 gram. The results of the transfersom suspension study were at a particle size of 253.25±9.54 nm with a PDI of 0.462±0.01 and an adsorption efficiency of 81.178%. Meanwhile, the fragrant pandan leaf transfersome gel had a particle size of 440.9±4.38 nm and a PDI of 0.374±0.01.
